A little about the Kitchen Wizard Method
The Kitchen Wizard Method is inspired by the way my friends and family in Japan whip-up an array of healthy and delicious dishes everyday in their postage-stamp-sized kitchens.
I figured out and designed a super easy way to make healthy meals from scratch on a daily basis for non-Japanese home cooks and have been teaching this method to busy people in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2009.
I put this method into my Amazon #1 bestselling cookbook “Kitchen Wizard Flexipes™” in 2011. It is highly acclaimed from both food and medical industry experts and has helped many home cooks around the globe.
Now I’m taking it one step further and putting my method online so that anyone can learn how to cook delicious meals way easier and faster, creating healthy cooking habits that last a lifetime!
But it wasn't always this way
I was just like you 20 years ago right after I got married. Preparing meals took FOREVER – lots of last minute shopping, double-checking recipes every step of the way and still I ended up with mediocre dishes.
It was costing us a FORTUNE because we were buying take-out and prepared meals on a regular basis.
Just like the cost that went up, so did my weight and cholesterol.
Eventually my doctor threatened that he’d have to put me on drugs – just like my Dad who died from complications of diabetes at the height of his medical career.
Calling it a HUGE WAKE-UP CALL is an understatement.
I tried everything, but nothing worked
I tried everything!
Cooking classes, 30 minute recipes, different gadgets, etc. (meal kits and apps didn’t exist at that time), but nothing worked. Instead, I was even more overwhelmed and my lack of confidence got even worse. I drove myself crazy and blamed myself for not being able to pull it off.
But if you know me, you know that when I decide to figure something out, I’m going to make it happen, no matter what, especially if it means eating good food.
I WANTED TO ENJOY EATING GOOD FOOD AGAIN AND BECOME HEALTHY ONCE MORE!
Then I realized the secret
I discovered a new way to cook from my family and friends back in Tokyo that changed everything and I started to experiment with their methods.
…and then it dawned on me:
How can my friends and family in Japan whip-up dozens of dishes in no time whatsoever and in such tiny kitchens?
Then I started to figure it out! With my background in Systems Engineering, Logistics Consulting and Coaching, it was easy for me to see the patterns and how what they did eliminated inefficiencies and redundancies from their everyday cooking processes – BIG TIME!
And the biggest benefit of all
I figured out how to take dishes I had previously made and transform them into completely different meal.
By maximizing my time and reducing my stress with my new method, I was able to produce dozens of healthy meals in minutes without lots of waste and without reinventing the wheel.
Once I perfected my method, I put it to the test in my own home. We saved over $9,000 during the first year alone and my health improved dramatically!
The biggest savings came from not eating out, except for special occasions of course and by not wasting food.
It has been over 10 years now since I started this method – had I not discovered it, then I would still be struggling with time, stress, the high cost of food and my health.

My friends and family realized that I was eating better and more healthy and asked me what my secret was. So I told them about my method – Kitchen Wizard Flexipes™ and how it came about.
After lots of trial and error, testing and tweaking I started teaching my method in 2009 and people loved it! Almost 3 years later I published my cookbook featuring not just the recipes, but a way for more efficient and simpler cooking for home cooks that conventional recipes and cooking methods have no idea about!

- Born and raised in a family of foodies and doctors in Tokyo, Japan, where a knowledge of good nutrition and a cooking a variety of delicious, healthy foods was a given (and expected)!
- I am a natural teacher, mentor and coach. I'm passionate about teaching new concepts and creative ways of solving problems. I started my tutoring career with my sister and cousins at the age of 8, and since the age of 17 I have worked with everyone.

Fun Personal Facts
- I love to travel! I love sight-seeing but the highlight is always experiencing different culture and eating local food. One of my dreams is to visit local homes around the world, learn how to cook their signature dishes and enjoy them while sharing stories.
- I love to eat. I'm very small but can eat more than people twice my size. (Ask my husband or friends!)
- My first memory of cooking is from when I was 3 or 4, helping my grandma to fry piroshki. When the oil splattered, she told me "If you drop them in, the oil will be surprised, so just let them slide in." (Yes, she was kinda eccentric!)
- I hate waste. I'm cheap, tend to be lazy and disorganized and always looking for the easy way, so having a good system helps me to get things done.
